  3. Charter Your Way From Wrocław To Exotic Countries

The Peloponnese, Paphos and Madeira are the latest charter novelties, introduced this season to Wrocław airport's network of connections. On June 21st a flight to Lanzarote was also launched. This means that the Wrocław's airport charter offer of 29 destinations is now fully available.

In this year's charter network of Wrocław's airport there are 29 destinations, including 5 novelties - Morocco, Djerba, Paphos, the Peloponnese and Madeira. "The last three flew in mid-June, i.e. before the traditional commencing of the season, beginning at the end of June and the beginning of July" says Michał Kozak, the charter traffic development manager at Wrocław airport. The passengers of Wrocław airport can benefit from the full vacation offer since Saturday; on June 21st the Lanzarote connection has been launched, the last destination offered by Wrocław tourist agencies.

Leisure or entertainment?

Morocco and Djerba were launched at the beginning of June, and these new destinations have been joined by the Peloponnese, with flights launched on June 13th. This picturesque peninsula delights with its landscape and is an excellent place, from which to start sightseeing the most southern-protruded, continental part of Greece.

Two days later, on June 15th, the passengers took off to Paphos on southern Cyprus, on the Greek side of the island. On June 17th the first plane left off to Madeira. This Portugal island of flowers was so far not easily available for tourists from Poland. Today, owing to Wrocław airport it is within reach of a 5-hour flight.

"Madeira may turn out the hit of this year's vacation. The island delights, offering virtually everything: beautiful beaches, charming little streets, and a large market with fruit and flowers, which make Madeira famous" says Michał Kozak. From among this year's destinations the most popular one is Greece. Tourist agencies provide as much as 7 connections with this country (Rhodos, Heraklion, Chania, Kos, Corfu, Kalamata, Zakinthos), which means a 60-percent growth in the offer of Greek destinations, in comparison to 2013 summer season.

The easiest way is through Wrocław

Tour operators have also 10- and 11-day tours in offer for summer 2014. It is a proposal, which was very popular last year, when the most popular destination was Turkish Antalya. Now, tourist agencies have broadened their portfolio with further

4 destinations. Apart from Antalya, the available choices are: Bodrum (Turkey), Rhodos and Crete (Greece) as well as the Sunny Beach (Bulgaria).

The growing popularity of summer destinations is an effect of an expanding offer of connections. But excellent road connections, as well as safe and cheap parking places near the airport also contribute.

Quick and easy access to Wrocław is guaranteed by the A4 motorway, as well as Wrocław motorway by-pass, roads S3, S8 and S5, currently under construction. The motorised passengers can comfortably leave their vehicle at the cheap parking place near the terminal. The parking is available at fixed prices:

  • 75 PLN - for up to 8 days
  • 90 PLN - from 9 to 15 days
  • 5 PLN - for each following day
