Beach in Plac Solny
The festival beach used to be located in Plac Teatralny, in the immediate vicinity of the Wroclaw Puppet Theatre. For several years now, the beach has been drawing people to Plac Solny. The beach offers deck chairs, festival beanbags, wakeboard (in a specially designed swimming pool) and a place to buy a soda or enjoy a coffee. The preparation work started on Monday (the beach is open from Wednesday between 9 am and 9 pm) to make it for the Thursday inauguration of the festival.
Screenings in Rynek
Screenings in Rynek are a perfect solution for those of you who cannot afford a large number of tickets or prefer watching films somewhere atypical with a select company of your friends (sitting on a blanket and sipping drinks). The outdoor screenings start on Friday 24 July (read more about the programme here). The screen and nearly 1000 seats arrive on Wednesday. Those of you who fail to take a seat before the screening can either stand to the side or sit on a blanket (on the condition you choose a spot right in front of the screen, there are too many people around and they can easily block your view). One of key attractions is "Zew morza" ("Call of the Sea"), a Polish silent film with Henryk Szaro's music played live by an ensemble directed by Krzesimir Dębski himself.
Photo booth at the cinema
The Nowe Horyzonty Cinema offers a number of attractions, including Professor Tołpa's photo booth. You can also enjoy cosmetic advice from a popular Wroclaw company and have a photo taken with film a number of props, e.g. with flowers in your hair (like Amy Winehouse) or in dark shades (like Zbyszek Cybulski).
