Flights in 2016/2017: Madrid, Kyiv, etc.

The winter timetable at Wrocław Airport brings new flights to Kyiv, Madrid and other destinations, including more services to Frankfurt am Main and Malta. The new timetable takes effect on 30th October.

Ryanair is launching the upcoming winter season with four new flights. Most of them are to UK destinations (Manchester, Newcastle and Belfast), but there is also a new flight to Madrid. The residents of Wrocław have been waiting for several years to fly to Spain's capital. Wizz Air is starting the season with a new flight to Kyiv. Additionally, Malta is going to stay on the winter roster for the first time in the airport's history.

"This is going to be a record breaking winter for Wroclaw Airport. Low-cost operators are gradually expanding their offers. Madrid and Malta fit in well with other flights to the South of Europe, which all attract a lot of interest in the autumn and winter season. Kyiv si also extremely popular, which is well reflected in the number of tickets booked," says Wrocław Airport President Dariusz Kuś. (There is more to Madrid than spectacular architecture)

As of 30th October, passengers travelling from Wrocław Airport can choose from a total of 28 low-cost flights, including 7 services to the South of Europe, 14 to the UK and Ireland, 2 to Scandinavia (Oslo Torp and Stockholm Skavsta) and 1 to France (Paris Beauvais), Germany (Dortmund) and the Netherlands (Eindhoven), as well as one flight to the East of Europe, namely to Kyiv. The timetable is complemented with Ryanair low-cost flights to Warsaw.

Two operators and 9 daily flights to Warsaw

Passengers travelling to Chopin Airport in Warsaw can choose two different airways. Apart from PLL LOT, Ryanair has been operating flights to Warsaw's major airport since 4th October 2016.

"I am confident that a growing number of flights to Chopin Airport, which is extended with low-cost services by Ryanair, will attract new passengers travelling between Wrocław and Warsaw. Planse are the fastest means of transport on this route," says Dariusz Kuś.Wrocław Airport's winter timetable 2016/17 brings six daily flights to Warsaw by PLL LOT and three daily flights by Ryanair.

More flights to Frankfurt am Main

Passengers travelling from Wrocław Airport can also choose from a variety of four different international airline flights: to Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Düsseldorf and Copenhagen. Lufthansa is now launching six additional weekly flights to Frankfurt The flights will be available every day except Saturday.(Some of the flights from Wrocław Airport are business flights)"Lufthansa is responding to a gradual growth in demand. Wrocław is becoming a major tourist and business destination in Europe. That's why we're expecting further expansion in this area," says Jarosław Sztucki, Marketing and Sales Director at Wrocław Airport.

Frankfurt Airport is one of the largest airports in Europe. The airport offers a convenient stop-over for passengers travelling to all major European cities as well those heading for Asia or North America.

Lanzarote and Fuerteventura in winter

Flights to Lanzarote are going to stay in the winter roster due to a large interest from passengers and travel agencies. You can also fly to Fuerteventura, a one more destination in the Canary Islands. (The Canary Islands is a holiday paradise and a myriad of attractions)

"The Canary Islands are a top destination for passengers flying with travel agencies. The location is a guarantee of enjoyable holidays. Sunny weather and nice temperatures are there for you to enjoy also in winter," says Michał Kozak, Charter Flights Development Manager at Wrocław Airport.The winter timetable offers four different charter flights. Apart from Spain, there are also two flights to major toursit destinations in Egypt: Hurghada and Marsa Alam.

Cheap parking

Wroclaw Airport is offering new services and facilities to make your journey more comfortable. There will be more parking spaces available, including short-term parking spaces in Car Park C (previously available only in Car Park A and B). Long-term parking is going to be cheaper: discounts of up to 40% are available online. For example, one day of parking costs 24 PLN, 3 days 44 PLN and 5-9 days only 59 PLN.

You can book your parking space online regardless of whether you are going to park your car for an hour or for a period of two weeks.
