"Now it will be possible to fly from Wroclaw to Faro in Portugal and to Thessaloniki in Greece. Obviously, we will also offer flights to popular holiday destinations: Canary Islands, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Bulgaria, or Crete and Cyprus," announces Dariusz Kuś, the president of the Wroclaw Airport.
The new flight network will also include an additional flight to Warszawa-Modlin offered by Ryanair. The plane from Warszawa will arrive on Friday at 2:25 p.m., whereas the departure from Wroclaw to Modlin is scheduled for 12:10 p.m.
"Apart from that, traditional carriers are developing business connections. Planes to Munich and Frankfurt will fly with the same frequency, but they will provide more space, so there will be more tickets for each flight," stresses Dariusz Kuś.
On Tuesday the 24th of March, the 10th anniversary of Ryanair’s activity in Poland was celebrated in Wroclaw. Flights from Wroclaw offered by this carrier are chosen by one million passengers every year. On the occasion of this anniversary, you can book tickets to Warszawa only for 19 PLN or buy other tickets at a 20% discount until the 26th of March.
"On our website, you can find the details of the discount offer, as well as our offers for business customers and families," encourages Katarzyna Gaborec-McEvoy, Ryanair's representative.
Last year the Wroclaw Airport served 2,085,000 passengers. This year's plans are ambitious – the number of departing passengers is expected to reach 2,250,000.
