Coronavirus affects Wroclaw budget

Because of the coronavirus epidemy, the city authorities expect significantly lower revenues – about a half billion PLN less. 

Estimates of prospective differences from planned revenues are as follows:

• CIT – 40% less than in the annual plan (56 mil PLN less)
• PIT - 10-15% less than in the annual plan (150-225 mil PLN less),
• Civil law transactions tax (PCC) – 40% less, that is 38 mil PLN,
• Proceeds from the sale of property – about 30 mil PLN less;
• Parking fees - 2 mil PLN less
• Public transport – 90% proceeds from tickets daily 

Within three days of the activity of Wroclaw Entrepreneurs Support Centre (public entity created to support entrepreneurs) there are 92 applications for reliefs, 118 mail enquires, 268 phone contacts.

The Mayor of Wroclaw has decided to cancel this year’s night half marathon (Nocny Półmaraton) that was planned in June. All participants who have already had a competition number should keep it for the next edition of run or may cancel it and get a refund. Details on: www.pol.wroclawmaraton.pl.

Assistants of Promyk Słońca Foundation offer neighbourhood aid. They can do shopping, go to a post office or pharmacy, walk a dog. They offer help especially to seniors. Contact with the foundation: 603 503 396. The aid is free of charge.

Techland has donated laptops to children from orphanages. Wroclaw Technology Park has also offered its help to children.
