Support for hospitals

The City of Wroclaw has already donated PLN 4 mil to support hospitals, including two ambulances, specialised equipment for transporting infected people, 4,500 protective suits, about 50,000 masks, 24,000 smocks. The City is in the process of signing another contracts of further equipping hospitals, worth about PLN 800,000.

Wroclaw thanks the health service

- We are all grateful to the health service. As Wroclaw, we do want to emphasize this appreciation clearly. In order to do it, the unique illumination will cover the facade of the Wroclaw Stadium tomorrow at 20.30. We want to thank medics, but also appeal to people once again. That is why this short show is also a request to the city's residents to stay at home. We can all have an influence on reducing the number of infections and preventing overloading of health care facilities - emphasized Jacek Sutryk.

Report on the ongoing investments

The first layer of asphalt on pl. Orląt Lwowskich (near Dworzec Świebodzki) has been already placed. The contractor will be placing two more layers.

At the bus stop near Podwale, works on the assembly of turnouts at the intersection of Piłsudskiego, Podwale and pl. Orląt Lwowskich, as well as adjustment of the track on Piłsudskiego and Podwale, are also being carried out.

Disinfection

In Wroclaw, 335 bus stops, transport hubs and the busiest stops are being disinfected. Buttons at pedestrian crossings are being disinfected as well – about 400 buttons.

Waste

Currently approx. 450 people are directly involved in waste collection. They work day and night. There are 42,000 waste collection points with different types of waste containers. There are several times more containers of all types in total.
