Vargas and its company Aira are investing in a heat pump factory in Wroclaw. Production will start in the Volvo Buses factory under liquidation at ul. Mydlana. Volvo’s former employees have a new job opportunity. Aira will present the details of the investment in Wroclaw on 26th June.

In a special press release on 16th June in Stockholm, the Swedish company Vargas announced its fourth project aimed at accelerating the decarbonisation process. This refers to the Aira company, which will start the production of heat pumps in the Volvo Buses factory under liquidation at ul. Mydlana in Wroclaw.

‘The new project is to become the European brand No. 1 in direct-to-consumer sales in the field of pure energy technology by delivering innovative and affordable solutions with smart heat pumps,’ reads the announcement of Vargas.

Aira was established by Vargas in Stockholm in 2022. Currently Aira operates in Italy, and it will enter markets in Germany and Great Britain this year. The company’s ambition for the year 2030 is to be present on more than 20 markets and employ over 10,000 technicians and experts in pure energy throughout Europe.

The company informs that Aira will serve 5 million European houses by means of cheaper ecological heating systems, which are in high demand. In order to fulfil these plans, Aira will have a plant in Wroclaw, where production will start in 2024.

‘Thanks to pure energy technology for every house, Aira transforms residential heating and accelerates European energy transformation and decarbonisation processes. Today consumers spend thousands of euros on ineffective, dirty and expensive gas heating. We will ensure affordable heat pumps and lower energy and emission costs.’ Martin Lewerth, CEO of Aira
