This year's Economic Forum in Karpacz will be held under the motto 'Time for new leaders: shaping the future together'. For three days, it will be a key venue for discussions on the major challenges shaping the present and future of Central and Eastern Europe. It will be attended by more than 6,000 guests from Poland and around the world, including presidents, heads of government, ministers, politicians and local government officials, CEOs of corporations, people of culture, renowned scientists, opinion-forming journalists and representatives of non-governmental organisations.
The event will include 350 debates and six plenary sessions, numerous panel discussions, workshops, press conferences, galas and concerts.
Artificial intelligence in the spotlight
One of the key events at this year's conference will be the AI Forum organised together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Poland's biggest universities. It will address the key issues of the impact of artificial intelligence on the revolution that is taking place in society and in public and commercial service sectors. The issues and challenges to be faced by the market in view of the fundamental technological change using AI will be discussed.
Participants of the event will ask themselves to what extent investments in research and cutting-edge technologies involving AI in many areas of life will allow the European Union to rebuild its competitiveness towards global economies and ensure its security.
What is the state of Polish and European economy?
During the 33rd Economic Forum, the 'Report of the Warsaw School of Economics and the Economic Forum 2024' will be presented. Published every year, it is the most comprehensive scientific study on the state of economy in Poland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Prepared by experts from the Warsaw School of Economics, the report describes current trends and socio-economic phenomena, enabling leaders in various areas to make key decisions.
Health at a high level
For the past 15 years, the Health Care Forum has also been an integral part of the conference, bringing together the most important figures from the medical sector in Poland. It is primarily a platform for discussing health topics in consideration of the economic aspect on the basis of facts and available data with the participation of all stakeholders of the health sector in Poland and Europe in the areas of finance, regulation and innovation.
A regular part of the meeting in Karpacz are also prizes awarded by the Forum's Program Council to outstanding figures and key companies and organisations in the following categories: Man of the Year, Company of the Year and NGO of the Year.
