Ladies and Gentlemen!
The city's system did hold up and absorbed the main surge of this natural disaster that has been affecting Lower Silesia and neighbouring regions for several days.
In the coming days, Wrocław will experience an unusually large volume of water passing through.
In such circumstances, leaks, groundwater seepage, and similar occurrences may happen.
Water that will be appearing in parks, lawns, playgrounds, or in areas like community gardens is not an issue that can be addressed at this moment.
Similarly, if roads or garages are located in low-lying areas compared to their surroundings, there may be instances of groundwater appearing below the level of the standing water in the area.
The main focus and resources are currently directed towards maintaining the continuity and stability of the main system of city’s embankments and sluices.
Minor leaks that do not threaten the safety of residents or the city are not a priority for emergency services at this time.
These issues will be dealt with after the surge has passed through the city.
We urge you to report issues to the authorities and emergency services with consideration and with understanding of the situation.
Thank you for your engagement and support!
