From Tuesday, patients will register already at Przylądek Nadziei – access will be possible from ul. Weigla. Such is the plan. Between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., ambulances will carry around 30 patients to ul. Borowska. Representatives of the clinic ask Wroclaw drivers for their understanding.
The long-awaited Przylądek Nadziei clinic was opened with great fanfare at the beginning of September. At that time, representatives of the Medical University and the clinic said that children would be transferred there till the end of September, but the deadline for removal was postponed several times, much to the disappointment of families of small patients. Monika Maziak, the spokesperson for the Medical University, explains that this delay was caused, among others, by the need to correct building works. But not only. ‘The plenty of equipment that had been brought to Przylądek Nadziei had to be booked and recorded in the hospital database. In addition, it was necessary to complete various accreditation procedures that are required to apply for a contract to the National Health Fund,' she explains. ‘Apart from that, the hospital staff had to become familiar with the building and laboratories and to complete training in the operation of new equipment,’ adds Monika Miziak.
This is what Przylądek Nadziei looks like
The clinic that functioned within the structures of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital no. 1 in Wroclaw in the old building at ul. Bujwida will become a part of the University Clinical Hospital after its transfer to Przylądek Nadziei at ul. Borowska. ‘From Tuesday 24th of November, doctors will see patients in the new location,’ declares the spokesperson for the Medical University.
