New functionalities
In new parking meters, you can pay a parking fee, e.g., using Pay Pass or Pay Wave cards, the BLIK system or coins (from 10 groszy to 5 PLN). You can still make payments via mobile applications. Payment with Urbancards will no longer be possible.
Tickets printed from new parking meters will contain the QR code that will include the vehicle registration number. Then you only need to scan this code, and the device will read for which vehicle the ticket was bought. It will be a convenient solution for users intending to prolong the parking time. You can also use new parking meters for paying additional fees (via your card or BLIK), e.g., resulting from a notice issued by a ticket inspector.
Parking machines have their own power supply and are equipped with a solar panel. They are also adapted to the needs of disabled persons, who can use the whole keyboard with ease thanks to a special button. The use of parking machines will also be easier due to instructions available on them.
The new website and control system
Also on 8th April, a new website of the paid parking zone will be launched: www.spp.zdium.wroc.pl. It will contain all information concerning zones, fees, the location and operation of new parking machines and many other things.
From May this year, a special car will ride onto the streets of Wroclaw – it will be equipped with a set of cameras that will be used for scanning vehicle registration numbers located in paid parking zones and for sending automatic notifications about paid fees, which will support ticket inspectors’ work.
