Linkin Park and James Blunt are the artists who might appear at Wroclaw Stadium in summer during the event organised by the European Capital of Culture.
"At the moment we do not want to disclose any details about the concerts, because the talks with the managers of musicians are still in progress," says Krzysztof Maj, the Director of the European Capital of Culture, the organiser of one of the events. "We hold talks with many artists, the most far gone are those with James Blunt and Linkin Park, but no contracts have been signed yet," he underlines.
James Blunt is a British singer, a former officer of the British Army. He stationed in Kosovo in 1999 in Life Guards division. War experience is present in his songs. Blunt's debut album was "Back to Bedlam" and his hit single "You're Beautiful" reached the top of the charts all around the world. Blunt's music is a combination of rock, folk and soul. The artist has performed in Poland twice — in 2009 in Warsaw and in 2011 at Life Festival Oświęcim.
Linkin Park is an American rock band. In June, the musicians will come to Europe for their tour, and maybe they will perform in Poland. The band appeared in Poland in 2007 at Silesian Stadium (Stadion Śląski) in Chorzów and in 2012 during the Orange Warsaw Festival at Legia Stadium in Warsaw.
