The complete list of the artists to perform on 22 June at the Wroclaw Stadium as part of the WROMANTIC FESTIVAL has been published. James Arthur has joined James Blunt and Alphaville. Tickets are available from 21 March.
James Arthur is currently the hottest name in the UK and a winner of the X-Factor music competition. His début single “Impossible” was released immediately after the programme's final and topped the UK Singles Chart in the first week since its release. The single has sold more than one million copies to date and is now the bestselling X-Factor winner's single in the world.
James Arthur's "Impossible" was one of the most frequently aired songs on the radio in Poland in 2013. The hit came eighth in the RMF FM top chart of the year ranking and nine in the Radio ESKA Gorąca Setka 2013 ranking.
Similarly to One Direction, James Arthur is one of the most popular young performers and also a favourite singer of all those who love to listen to beautifully rendered rock ballads.
Alphaville Forever Young
Alphaville, the band primarily known as the authors of "Forever Young", one of the greatest hits in the history of pop music, will also perform at the WROMANTIC FESTIVAL.
The song was released and covered in countless numbers of versions rendered by such world famous artists as Jay - Z, The Killers, Sonic Youth or the recently most popular boys band One Direction. “Forever Young” was certainly one of the most popular songs in the 1980s, and Alphaville is regarded as one of the most recognisable representatives of New Romanticism, which is why they perfectly fit into the format of the festival. The band also released such world famous hits as “Big in Japan” and “Sounds Like a Melody”. The band has been on the scene since 1984. They have performed several times in Poland, and each time won the hearts of their fans.
James Blunt at the Wroclaw Stadium
James Blunt will be the festival's top attraction. He will perform at the Wroclaw Stadium as part of the world tour promoting his latest album Moon Landing, which includes such hits as “Heart to Heart” or “Bonfire Heart”. James Blunt has several impressive achievements under his belt. His four LP albums, with his biggest hit to date "You're Beautiful", have sold seventeen million copies; his singles, four of which have topped the world's charts, have in turn sold twenty million copies; he has also received five Grammy nominations, two BRIT Awards and four MTV Music Awards. James Blunt can also boast of more than six million Facebook fans and nearly 260 million hits on YouTube.
The WROMANTIC FESTIVAL will also feature Sylwia Grzeszczak and Kasia Sochacka.
