Sewage system failure on Sudecka Street
Road and City Maintenance Administration in Wrocław has closed a 200-meter section of Sudecka Street (between Sztabowa and Powstańców Śląskich Streets) due to a sewage system failure, which has caused the road to collapse.
In a statement, MPWiK (Municipal Water and Sewage Company) informed that:
- A preliminary diagnosis by their emergency team confirms a sewage system failure on Sudecka Street.
- A full assessment of the damage will be possible after excavation work is done. However, parked cars are currently obstructing the works. MPWiK will start repairing the failure as soon as possible.
- The street is paved with cobblestones, so it will take more time to restore the surface and return traffic to normal. The newly laid cobblestones will need a few days to settle.
Sand storage centre for Wrocław will be set up on Wyboista Street
Starting Wednesday, September 25, all those moving sporting sandbags picked up in Wrocław are asked to bring them to Wyboista Street (Leśnica). With the help of the Territorial Defence Forces, a sand storage centre for Wrocław will be established there. The site is open from 8:00 a.m. to midnight.
- Please follow the instructions of military personnel and other services to ensure smooth unloading and sand distribution. Additionally, sandbags were successfully removed from Marszowicka Street, which will be passable along with the Marszowicki Bridge. From Wednesday, we will also begin collecting sandbags from the city centre. A schedule for placing containers for sand and sandbags in neighbourhoods will be published later.
