Candidatures for the 5th edition of the Wroclaw Heart for Animals Municipal Award can be submitted by 30th September 2020. Once again we are looking for those who devote their time and resources to selfless help to animals in Wroclaw. We do not only want to tell others about their generous activity, but also to offer symbolic gratitude to them.
‘Wroclaw again wants to show and appreciate the people who selflessly donate their time, work and money to animals needing help. They treat and feed them, accommodate them in temporary homes and look for persons willing to adopt abandoned dogs or cats. It is a sign of appreciation from the city authorities and inhabitants for their actions towards animals and for the mission of rescuing them,’ says Barbara Borzymowska, the originator of the initiative and the chairwoman of the Jury of the Wroclaw Heart for Animals Municipal Award.
The decision on the inscription to be put on the new plate will be made first by Internet users, Wroclaw inhabitants, readers of the city portal who will submit candidates and then by the Jury, which grant the main awards and a few distinctions.
You can become the laureate of the municipal award only once. However, it is possible to be distinguished many times. Internet users will also select their favourite – they can vote from the moment of presentation of all nominees. The audience award will be granted along with the jury awards.
Candidatures (persons, companies, associations, foundations, institutions) for the 5th edition of the Wroclaw Heart for Animals can be submitted via special form by 30th September 2020.
You can also submit the persons, groups or associations that became known to Wroclaw inhabitants in previous editions of the Wroclaw Heart for Animals, including those already distinguished – they will have a chance to win the municipal award or the Internet users’ award this year.
The jury of the award (consisting of representatives of city authorities, the media and pro-animal organisations) will meet in October to select the laureate and to grant distinctions.
