Ninety photographs taken by Zdzislaw Beksiński will be on display until the end of August. The works come from the 50's., the period in which Beksiński intensively experimented in the field of photography. To this day, he is considered one of the greatest and most revealing photographers of the time.

The board exhibition entitled 'Preserved memory' draws a silhouette of professors of the University of Wroclaw, who are patrons of streets of the capital of Lower Silesia. The largest number of streets bearing the names of Wroclaw scientists can be found in Oporów - where the post-war academic staff housing estate was. The Polish-English exhibition prepared by the Museum of Wroclaw will be on display until 28 August.
It is pink-lilac-orange-red, inflatable, and is expected to bring the residents together. The huge colourful hedgehog is a part of a project implemented by European Capital of Culture 2016, 'Wroclaw - Enter from the Yard.' It appeared in one of the backyards in the so-called Wroclaw Triangle, and children took to it with all their hearts right away. Saturday will be an opportunity to spend quality time with them. The Hedgehog will wander around the courtyards of Przedmiescie Olawskie from 13 to 29 August. The hedgehog's author is Iza Rutkowska.
This weekend starts in the rhythm of techno, deep house and electro.
They have been around for three years, but despite their short stage presence they have recorded over 200 concerts at home and abroad - including one on the stage of the New International Talents of the New Fall Festival in Düsseldorf. Twice they performed on the stage of one of Europe's biggest festivals - Open'er Festival in Gdynia.
SaxArte quartet was founded in 2009 in Wroclaw. It comprises four saxophonists, graduates of the Music Academy in Wroclaw. The repertoire varies in style and includes both classical music, jazz standards as well as film and popular music arrangements - from Renaissance suites, to ragtime and swing to Argentinian tango.
At 8.15 on selected Saturdays in July and August the Slodowa Island hosts a guitar workshop 'Musical Travels.' Please bring your own guitar. The next meeting will include blues and gospel.
Admission to the Pergola grounds is free. The shows can be seen from the observation deck of Wroclaw Congress Centre at 5 PLN/person. Tickets are available on the day of the events in the main lobby of Wroclaw Culture Centre (WCK).
In August 2015, Maintain Replay will release an EP 'Trigger,' of a Wroclaw music producer, Gogan. BauBarowe Patio organizes a performance, during which the artist will present material from the new EP. The project Krakowska 180 is an option for people looking for an alternative to the clubbing map of Wroclaw.

Every Sunday, Lower Silesia farmers and producers meet to offer a wide range of vegetables: carrots, parsley, courgettes and potatoes, as well as goat's, sheep's and cow's cheese, cottage cheese, ripening and yellow cheese, butter, buttermilk, milk, sausages and cold pressed oils of the best mills in Lower Silesia. There are tables, benches, blankets and free coffee for all guests.
Yoga in the Park is a non-profit campaign - experienced instructors with Fabryka Energii hold free classes, addressed to all, both those who have practised yoga before and the novices. All you need is to bring a mat or blanket, and put on comfortable clothes.
Every Sunday at 11 am the fitness classes are run by experienced instructors with Jupiter Sport. All persevering participants will be served a protein shake by Barka Tumska. All you need is to bring water, a towel, sports clothes and high spirits.
Every vacation Sunday, you can get to know the latest proposals of Polish and foreign game publishers on Slodowa Island. The most favourite and well-proven titles will also be there. Rules of the games will traditionally be explained by professional animators. The theme of the next meeting will be Polish and international novelties.

On all Sundays of August runs 'Summer in the White Stork Synagogue' - a festival during which you can hear artists from Europe, presenting not only the music of ethnic minorities, but also modern sounds inspired by the multicultural tradition.
August 16 - Świnoga & Świnoga (Poland) - extraordinary soloists: the father on the accordion, the son on drums, and a combination of classical and folk music.
In 2001, the duo Maciej Czemplik and Maciek Mazurek were the winners of an international jazz guitarists competition "Guitar City" in Warsaw. He worked with the Music Theatre Capitol, Ad Spectatores Theatre, as well as bands Afromental and Asylum.
