Encouraged by the successful campaign promoting Lower Silesia in October last year, the organisers from the Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation (Dolnośląska Organizacja Turystyczna, DOT) decided on a similar formula in the capital of our region.

"Wroclaw for half price" will take place during the weekend on July 11–13, and some of the entities participating in the campaign will be: hotels, restaurants, facilities and places associated with culture, entertainment and leisure — that is all the attractions located in Wroclaw.

A benefit for yourself, a benefit for the city

Therefore DOT, which is fully responsible for the promotion of the event and is its main sponsor, invites all the above entities to submit proposals to "Wroclaw for half price". Becoming a patron of this campaign and a symbolic financial contribution allows a successful advertisement of your own services and events, and at the same time helps to strengthen the image of Wroclaw as a friendly and attractive place not only for its Lower Silesian residents, but also for visitors from across the Poland — in terms of tourism, culture and leisure. Especially on July 11–13, because then all the facilities, places and events in Wroclaw will be available to them at promotional prices. Eating in restaurants and sleeping in hotels will be cheaper, as well as tickets to the museums, galleries and other places of culture and entertainment.

Rajmund Papiernik, the director of Wroclaw's Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation (Dolnośląska Organizacja Turystyczna, DOT) says that the list of entities which would like to join "Wroclaw for half price" campaign is open until the end of March this year.

In return for participating in the campaign, the organisers promise, inter alia, a promotion in the social media: FB (at least 50 times on a fan page during the campaign), Pinterest (entity's photos at least 50 times), Twitter (min. 50 Tweets), YouTube (2–3-minute-videos about the places and facilities), via the website www.dolnyslask.info.pl, in the newsletter reaching over 20 thousand users, in tourist information points, at the universities in the region, and across Poland — via onet.pl.

For comparison, the October's campaign of DOT concerning the region "earned" about 2,600 fans on FB (total range of up to 40.3 thousand people) and 40 thousands of unique users of the website (24.5 thousand views within three days).
