Vaccination for a Good Start to the Holiday. Vaccination campaign on the Wroclaw Stadium on 26th June

A special point only for adolescent patients, free consultations with doctors of various specialties, prizes and surprises for the vaccinated – Wroclaw invites teenagers to a huge vaccination campaign on the Stadium. All of this is a part of the Vaccination for a Good Start to the Holiday. On Saturday 26th June, which is the first day of the holiday, young people aged between 12 and 17 can submit to vaccinations on the Wroclaw Stadium. The point will be active from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

How to vaccinate a teenager

The written consent of parents and, in the case of young people aged between 12 and 15, also the presence of parents during vaccination is required. Young people under the age of 18 will be vaccinated with the Pfeizer preparation – the only vaccine approved so far for this age group in the EU.

‘It is not without reason that protective vaccinations are regarded as one of the biggest achievements of medicine. They helped reduce the mortality and incidence of many infectious diseases. By taking a vaccine, you can protect yourself and your loved ones against the disease that has changed our reality during the last year,’ convinces Professor Leszek Szenborn, Head of the Chair and Clinic of Paediatrics and Infectious Diseases of the University Clinical Hospital in Wroclaw.

In Wroclaw, there are more than 38,000 teenagers at the age of 12-17. Almost 1,000 students aged 17-18 have already been vaccinated thanks to the joint campaign of the City of Wroclaw and the University Clinical Hospital (a mobile point was put into operation in the General Secondary School No. 5 in Wroclaw on 1st June).

Vaccination on the first day of the holiday

On 26th June, a chillout zone with information points devoted particularly to vaccinations will be created on the Wroclaw Stadium. Doctors of various specialties – a psychologist, a dietician and a physiotherapist – will be at the disposal of young people and their parents.

The first 30 persons vaccinated on the Wroclaw Stadium on 26th June will also receive promotional packages of Wroclaw.

In Wroclaw, over 740,000 vaccines have been administered so far, and over 70,000 persons have been vaccinated on the Wroclaw Stadium.
