The Western Axis will complement the Leśnica ring road. It is designed to direct transit from the current national road no. 94 to the route bypassing the Leśnica housing estate and bring it to ul. Graniczna, which leads to the Wroclaw Motorway Ring Road. Works for almost 181.5 million PLN will be performed by a consortium of companies: Bickhardt Bau Polska, Bickhardt Bau AG, Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Inżynieryjnych KBI, Zakład Sieci i Zasilania, and Instal Lech.
Works have just started
In the first week of July between ul. Grabowa and the Ługowina stream, the first spade was dug into the ground.
‘The reconstruction of ul. Kosmonautów consists of three stages. We will start with the most important thing – the reconstruction of the trackage, which will be moved away to the south from the existing location (towards the oncological hospital under construction – editorial note]. Then we are going to build the southern roadway and eventually the northern roadway,‘ explained Piotr Wilkosz, a representative of Bickhardt Bau Polska Sp. z o.o., in April.
