Its authors are hoping that the game will conquer world markets with its panache and innovative solutions. The game is available in 8 languages, in more than 150 countries simultaneously. In Poland, Earthcore was released in full Polish version, with the voice of actor Piotr Fronczewski. The game can be downloaded for free.
As the representatives of Tequila Games emphasise, the game is absolutely original. "We did not follow others, nor copied them, as some game developers do. The game originated in our Wroclaw studio from start to finish, although we had some help fro the outside" points out Wojciech Woziwodzki, president of Tequila Mobile. He was responsible for fundraising and acquiring investors all over the world, which allowed to finance the making of the game.
The work on the game lasted nearly two years and involved more than 40 people from the studio (including graphic designers, programmers, and testers) and many external experts, artists-illustrators from around the world, even from India. The game makers even managed to engage, among others, the best Polish board games designer, Michał Oracz. Its budget amounted to several million, which allowed creating a very refined and extensive game world, already compared by industry insiders to the works of the world's greatest artists. Before the official release, the game was made available in Canada, the Netherlands and Brazil, because its authors were curious of its reception.
"The players' tips allowed to refine and enrich it even better" admits Łukasz Deszczułka, one of the founders and president of Tequila Games.
Beta testing lasted five months and showed that players can spend long hours with Earthcore and return to it to compete in the rankings. As it turns out, digital card games is a category of games gaining increasing popularity among mobile players, and more and more often occupying the leading positions in the rankings of top earning titles.
What is Earthcore?
Is a card game that has a combat system that resembles "rock, paper and scissors", however with three, mutually warring elements - fire, water and nature. Each card is also to have its own combat ability and predetermined points of risk. There are 200 cards. The applied combat system is to make game fights very dynamic and full of twists and turns. "For us, Earthcore's launch is just the beginning of a great adventure" says Łukasz Deszczułka, founder and president of Tequila Games Studio. "We will continue to develop and improve the game. We want to gather an active community around it. To encourage players to stay with Earthcore, we are already working on the first add-ons that will be a completely free extension of its contents" reveals Łukasz Deszczułka.
For now, the game is available for owners of iPads and iPhones. The launch of Android and PC versions is scheduled for a later date.

Łukasz Deszczułka began his work with games in 2003, when he was still in the second year of study (computer science, among others). Over the years, Tequila Mobile Studio, which he first co-founded, dealt with creating very simple and popular mobile phone games for mass players who could play them while riding a bus or a train. The games were free (so-called free to play) and created in 2-3 months. The company founder's dream, however, was to create a large, extensive in technology and plot card game for a group of more demanding customers. For this purpose, about two years ago he started Tequila Games studio, becoming its boss. Wojciech Woziwodzki, who had previously dealt with consulting in the computer industry and start up fundraising, became president of Tequila Mobile, which supports Tequila Games financially.
