Heart grows in Nadodrze [PHOTOS]

From August to November, Wroclaw saw an intriguing project carried out under the watchful eye of the local ceramic artists to create a unique stove tile of one's own design. A number of people from Nadodrze engaged in the project: both adults and children, elderly citizens and students, people from local authorities and NGOs, craftsmen and people working form cultural institutions, entrepreneurs and artists. Each tile is different and tells a story of its own. Combined, they create a unique and beautiful composition.

People from Wrocławska Rewitalizacja, the project's founder and coordinator, say that this is the first stage in the "Nadodrze Mosaics" projet. New tiles are now being baked for the heart to grow ever bigger with each new component added to the composition.

The formal unveiling of the mosaic is scheduled for 18 December 2015 at 4 pm. The programme also provides for Christmas tree decorations and refreshments to the sound of Chritmas carols.

The project is carried out by the City of Wroclaw and Wrocławska Rewitalizacja Sp. z o.o. Project partners: NADO Gallery / Studio, Piecownia Creative Expression Studio, DALBA Studio, MDK Śródmieście, OK art Foundation.

The project is conducted under the auspices of ECC 2016.
