Wroclaw will be yet another city, after Warsaw and Radom, for ITS Michalczewski to provide their public transport services. The contract was concluded for the period of ten years. MPK will pay the contractor 338 million PLN for their services. With the new contract, MPK will be able to reduce the number of their own buses, dispose of the oldest and worn vehicles and offer quality services to their passengers. "Once our subcontractors have launched their services, we will be operating buses that date from 2000 and newer," says Agnieszka Korzeniowska from MPK.
The new contractor will operate the following lines: A, 110, 113, 114, 119, 125, 128, 145, 146 will be using MAN vehicles while less frequented lines, such as 100, 120, 140, 147, will be using solaris alpino buses, a smaller version of solaris Urbino, which is a vehicle well known to passengers in Wroclaw. Public transport passengers in Athens use more than 200 such vehicles. Although they are smaller in size, they will offer the same facilities as MAN vehicles: they will be air-conditioned and suitable for persons with disabilities.

The carrier is going to take over several bus lines from MPK in 2015 and is now looking for suitable locations for their bus depots and is working on how to organise their operations in Wroclaw."We can offer considerable experience, since we operate selected public transport services in Warsaw. We focus on quality, driver training and security. We have Poland's only track to train prospective bus drivers and our own school for the drivers as well. Our workers in Wroclaw will be offered permanent work contracts," announces Marcin Kucharski, Development Director at ITS Michalczewski.
