Disney+’s first original production in Central and Eastern Europe
‘This is an important moment for Disney+ in Poland. It is our first original production in Central and Eastern Europe, and we are excited that such recognised, talented and experienced creators and actors are working on this project,’ said Magdalena Cieślak, Disney+’s Director of Original Productions in CEE.
‘Our first Polish series, provisionally entitled Breslau, will further expand the offer of productions for the adult audience,’ she adds.
The producer of Breslau is Wroclaw-based ATM Grupa, Poland’s largest indie studio specialising in feature films. Its long list of credits includes The Border, Hold Tight, and Absolute Beginners.
The project is carried out in Poland with financial support granted by the Polish Film Institute from the funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Further scenes of Breslau will be shot in Wroclaw this summer.
