New signage of "kiss and ride" type appeared at Purkyniego Street, near the hotel, in front of the Raclawice Panorama (Panorama Racławicka). This is the sixth place in Wroclaw where such a solution is used. The drivers can stop in such a place for a limited time so that their passengers can get off the car and say goodbye, and then they can drive away. Apart from the road sign "stopping and parking prohibited" (over 5 minutes) there is a plate with a pictogram explaining this principle. Such signs are used most often in the airports and railway stations, and it looks similar in Wroclaw. "We are installing the signage at the request of traffic engineers and most often these are places where for various reasons a permanent parking lot cannot be created. The last location is at Purkyniego Street, near the hotel and the university at the same time, and in front of a big tourist attraction. A lot of taxis and cars stop there, and we decided on such a road sign so that they don't block the parking bay all the time," says Ewa Mazur from the Roads and City Maintenance Authority (Zarząd Dróg i Utrzymania Miasta). "Kiss and ride" signs in Wroclaw:
- Kazimierza Wielkiego Street, in the bay near the New Horizons Cinema (Kino Nowe Horyzonty),
- Wróblewskiego Street, near the entrance to the zoo,
- Piłsudskiego Street, in front of the Capitol Musical Theatre (Teatr Muzyczny Capitol),
- near the airport, in front of the departures hall,
- Sucha Street, in front of the exit from train station,
- Purkyniego Street, near the hotel.
