Yellow zone – what does it mean?

Declaring the whole country as yellow zone means that covering the mouth and nose will be obligatory in public space:

  • in means of public transportation
  • in public places – unless the 1,5 meter distance is kept
  • in work places and public facilities
  • in commercial and service facilities

- when performing religious cult, including ceremonies in public facilities designated for religious purposes, and in cemeteries

The exception is made for people carrying medical certificate which allows them to not wear mask.

Restrictions

Tougher restrictions concern i.a. the obligation to cover the mouth and nose, organizing faires and congresses, sport and cultural events, gastronomy, health resorts, weddings, transport.

Covering the mouth and nose in public space – in shops, on the bus, and on the street – is obligatory from Saturday, October 10 on.

Special and mass events

In yellow zone there is a limit of 50 people (excluding the staff) on special events such as weddings or christenings. Cultural events may take place with 25% of the audience – this rule applies also to the cinemas. Maximum 100 people can take part in outdoor events – however, the number of participants cannot be larger than 1 person per 5 square metres.

According to new restrictions, during sport events there can be only 25% spectators present. The exceptions are football matches and speedway competitions, where the audience should have the possibility to sit on every second place in the stands, in alternate rows, taking no more than 50% of places intended for spectators.
