Business opportunities in Nevada

Entrepreneurs who are planning to build rapport with American companies will soon have a great opportunity to do so. The Governor of Nevada, along with a group of the local businessmen, is wisiting Wroclaw on 20 April 2016. The Americans are planning to attend a round of business talks to meet their partners in Lower Silesia.

In February, a group of American officials and investors visited the following seven Polish cities: Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Poznań, Lublin, Rzeszów and Wroclaw. Regional capitals presented their cooperation proposals after the meetings. The offer that the Americans found most promising came from Lower Silesia and was developed by the Lower Silesian Agency of Economic Cooperation in collaboration with the Marshal's Office of Lower Silesia. According to the Americans, their prospective partners from Lower Silesia stand out with their innovative solutions and flexibility.

"Lower Silesia has one of the most thriving economies in Poland, which is largely due to modern technology," says Maryla Nesbit, International Cooperation Manager at the Office of the Governor of Nevada. "That's one of the key arguments for American entrepreneurs. We also appreciate the prompt and professional response to our needs. That's very important in business."

"After preliminary talks with the representatives of the state of Nevada, we came up with an offer to suit the needs of both parties, both economically and in terms of R&D," says Andrzej Jamrozik, Presidents of the Lower Silesian Agency of Economic Cooperation. "We cooperate with a large number of companies in the region that both meet the requirement of our American partners and wish to expand to global markets."

The Americans are planning to cooperate with Lower Silesia's defence, automotive, aviation and pharmaceutical companies. They are also keen to build an economic and scientific rapport with local businesses, universities and research centres.

Polish companies are also showing a growing interest in Nevada, which offers favourable conditions for those who wish to set up and run a business. These conditions are much more competitive than in many other states.

Following a major crisis that the US faced in 2008, Nevada began to develop rapidly. The state's economy grows by 2.5% annually, its GDP reaching 125 million USD. The unemployment rate dropped from 14% to 6% as 140 thousand new jobs have been created.

Nevada as the world's expo capital

The state is witness of 22 thousand commercial events annually, which are attended by 6 million participants from all over the world. Nevada is also known as an innovation hub, and can boast of state-of-the-art centres and parks of technology, e.g. Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (RTIC), where Tesla's enormous battery factory is located. Nevada has also a leading position in aviation and modern production technologies. 45 million tourists visit the state annually.

If your company is interested in making contact with the American entrepreneurs, you can register at the Investor and Exporter Service Centre, Lower Silesian Agency of Economic Cooperation.
