Apart from official ceremonies, speeches and the loud singing of Gaudeamus Igitur, the beginning of the academic year will be inaugurated by a record dance performed by students and Wroclaw inhabitants.
On the first students’ Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., the Wroclaw Market Square will turn into the biggest dance floor in Poland. The dance instructors (Robert, Dorota and Krzysiek) will teach us choreography, and Bruno Mars will heat up the atmosphere with one of his greatest hits. Everybody can dance together with students of all Wroclaw universities. You can practice your steps already now thanks to a special instructional video prepared on that occasion:
In order to take part in this memorable event, you have to register beforehand via special FORM (click).
Those who do not want to practice alone can attend dance rehearsals organised by the Wroclaw University of Technology and the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences.
Rehearsals at the Wroclaw University of Technology:
- 29th of September, from 6:00 p.m., in the Student Culture Zone. The rehearsal will be led by Damian Mroziński from the SKTT ISKRA dance club of the WUT.
- 1st of October, 12:30 p.m.; we will practice together with Kalina Zych from the Student Government of the Wroclaw University of Technology on the occasion of the inauguration of the Passage of WUT Students.
Rehearsals at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences:
- 29th of September, 8:00 p.m., the vestibule of the Educational-Scientific Centre of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Pl. Grunwaldzki 24A
