A letter of intent between the Institute of National Remembrance and the ECC 2016 was signed as part of the Institute's 15th anniversary celebrations. The collaboration between the two institutions is going to focus of history and education.
"The ECC 2016 is a great opportunity to showcase our history and achievements in the 20th century," said President of the Institute Łukasz Kamiński, PhD. Head of the Culture Department at the Wroclaw City Office Jarosław Broda offered a suitable rejoinder: "Culture without remembrance and history is unable to survive. I am extremely happy with our agreement and the Institute's commitment to the ECC cause in Wroclaw.

Cooperation between the Institute and the ECC 2016
The International Film Review "The World Without Freedom" is one of the events to be held as part of the newly established cooperation. 30 different films will be screened in collaboration with the Nowe Horyzonty Association to show life in totalitarian regimes. Screening will be followed by discussion and Q&A sessions.
"We are going to invite their directors. They will certainly tell us more about how they created their films and their main ideas. This is a great opportunity to exchange our views and experiences," adds Andrzej Krajewski, PhD, Deputy Director of the Institute's Wroclaw Branch and the ECC 2016 Plenipotentiary.
Additionally, the Institute has promised to organise the interdisciplinary event "Summer with the IPN (from 15 July to 14 August 2016 at the Centennial Hall's Congress Centre), education festival (October 2016) and international science congress (November 2016).
All events organised by the Institute of the National Remembrance are free of charge.
