The wROCK for Freedom Festival is usually organised at the bus depot in ul. Grabiszyńska, where the Solidarity movement in Wroclaw began. The depot is now under renovation to serve as the Museum of Solidarity, which is why the rock legends are going to perform at the Centennial Hall, and the associated events are held at the Pergola.
The gig at the Centennial Hall features two legendary Polish rock bands, which are both the Solidarity's age. Perfect, whose beginnings are inextricably linked with the Solidarity movement, are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year whereas Dżem celebrated the same anniversary a year ago.
The wROCK for Freedom Festival in Wroclaw is now one of the most important events to conclude the summer season in Poland. The event attracts thousands of fans every year, and offers a great opportunity for each and every generation to enjoy the sounds of Polish rock music. The upcoming gig will be full of greatest hits by Perfect such as "Autobiografia", "Nie płacz Ewka", "Chcemy być sobą", "Niewiele ci mogę dać", "Ale wkoło jest wesoło" as well as recent numbers such as "Raz po raz (straszą nas)" or "Czy to ja". The entire Centennial Hall is going to sing in unison to such hits by Dżem as "Whisky", "Wehikuł Czasu", "Sen O Victorii","List Do M." or "Czerwony Jak Cegła".
