The historic tram Konstal 4N1 turns into a mobile art gallery

September 10, 12 o'clock, pl. Teatralny

The historic tram Konstal 4N1 1960, called Enusia, will be turned into a mobile art gallery. This ride starts on pl. Teatralny at 12.00, 1, 2, 3 and 4 pm. The tram will take visitors to the exhibition to Infopunkt Nadodrze. On the way, guides - often themselves the authors of the exhibition - will talk about their work, referring to Wroclaw trams.

This year, the festival's is "Roads & Rivers"; the event will focus on the subject of travel. The ten intense days of the festival will be an unusual photographic journey - there will be exhibitions, slide shows, debates, workshops and meetings with artists and curators. The courtyard at ul. Ruska 46 C will turn into the Festival Centre, which will bring together the social and information spheres.

The organizers welcome to the project "WroKro - Explore the beauty of Wroclaw parks by playing croquet", in which all willing can learn the rules of the game and try it in practice.

Italian ensemble La Fonte Musica will perform at the festival under the direction of Michele Pasotti. The group specializes in playing medieval music on historical instruments, as well as philological exploration. In Wroclaw, they will play the religious and secular music by Antonio Zacara da Teramo.

The project Miuosh x JIMEK x NOSPR was first presented in March last year at the seat of the Symphony Orchestra of the National Polish Radio in Katowice. The success of the concert was brought in by the first ever combination of sound of the full orchestra with vocalist representing the hip-hop environment, and one on such a high musical level, too. The Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra under the baton of its artistic director Hartmut Rohde will play with guests (Andrea Inghisciano - cornett, Gawain Glenton - cornett, Giulia Genini - bassoon, dulcian) the works of two great masters - the father of the Baroque: Claudio Monteverdi, and the contemporary classic György Ligeti.

34th PKO Wroclaw Marathon

September 11, 9 am, the Olympic Stadium complex

Traffic disruption

On Sunday, from approx 8 am to 3 pm, the following traffic disruption is expected in Wroclaw:

  1. For changes to routes and schedules of selected public transport lines see[LIST OF CHANGES]
  2. Closing the entire route of the marathon for vehicle traffic,
  3. Disrupted, or partially closed communication transverse to the marathon route
  4. Launching no parking zones along the route of the marathon (in force all day on September 11).

The accompanying events

  • Sports Expo Fair, the AWF Hall, Sunday: 6 am - 2 pm
  • A Sports City will be open to all, by the zone near the start and finish line (in Pola Marsowe), from 8 am to 4 pm. Among the prepared attractions are: bouncy castles for children, classes on the disciplines of The World Games 2017, contests, an athletic zone and a recreational garden.
  • The PKO Family Run will start at the main gate of the Olympic Stadium complex, immediately after the start of the 34. PKO Wroclaw Marathon (at approx. 9.15 am).

A joint warm-up

The warm-up was prepared by the trainers of the programme 'You Too Can Run A Marathon'. As every year, the contestants will meet at 8 am at the side warm-up pitch by the athletic stadium of AWF Wroclaw.

What is the mikvah? Who uses it? Danielle Chaimovitz from the Wroclaw Jewish community will talk about the rules of using the mikvah and answer all questions.

  • Language: English with translation into Polish
  • Admission: 8 PLN
  • After the meeting, you can also visit the permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions in the synagogue.

Festival Wratislavia Cantans: Bach's Passion According to St. John

September 11, 7 pm, the NFM, tickets 30-250 PLN

A surprise for all fans of Bach - on September 11 you can see a staged (!) Passion According to St. John, featuring the baroque ensemble B'Rock, the NFM Choir and soloists under the baton of Andreas Spering. This may be one of the biggest sensations of the festival.
