It is the 22th time that Wroclaw participates in the International Real Estate Fair MIPIM 2016 in Cannes. This year's theme is Wroclaw as the European Capital of Culture 2016. The city's stand will be hosted by a representative of the Lower Silesia Marshall's Office, which will allow for a joint promotion of the offers. Visitors will be handed leaflets with information on economy, tourism and culture.
Wroclaw's offer in Cannes 2016
Wroclaw's investment proposal includes service areas in the following streets: ul. Księcia Witolda, ul. Borowska, ul. Stabłowicka, ul. Towarowa and Wojanowska. The city will present its offer for economic activity by the motorway bypass (ul. Graniczna and ul. Piołunowa) and the downtown bypass (ul. Żmigrodzka, ul. Irysowa). Part of the land has the status of a special economic zone. The offer includes buildings in: ul. Jaworowa, ul. Włodkowica, ul. Ruska and ul. Księcia Witolda.
Representatives of the city emphasize that the trade fair is a unique opportunity to present the city's multidimensional potential. Potential investors are interested in not only plots for their future investments, but also in the general directions of development, the education base, the labour market, the quality of infrastructure, support for businesses and the rules of cooperation. During negotiations, prospective investors will want to know the specifics of the Wroclaw market, to define their needs, to exchange insights, and expectations, as well as to present the conditions stated in their investment decisions. The knowledge obtained in these interviews is analysed and taken into account in a variety of activities

Many projects completed in recent years had had their beginning during the earlier editions: office space projects - ul. Curie-Skłodowskiej/Grunwaldzka, Wzgórze Mikołajskie, ul. Szczytnicka, pl. Bema; hotel projects - ul. Podwale, ul. Piotra Skargi, ul. Ślężna.
The most important real estate trade fair in Europe
The International Real Estate Fair MIPIM is the most important trade fair in Europe, held in Cannes for 27 years. It is visited by investors, developers, architects, consulting firms, investment funds, representatives of cities and regions. This year's edition will be attended by nearly 2,500 companies and 4,500 investors from over 80 countries and approx. 20,000 participants have registered already. In this year's edition, Polish cities will include, e.g. Warsaw Gdansk, Krakow, Poznan, Lodz and Katowice. The MIPIM 2016 fair from 15 to 18 March.
