See How Wrocław Stations Changed [PHOTOS]

Six Wrocław train stations have changed beyond recognition in recent years, out of which Wrocław Main Stattion underwent the greatest metamorphosis. However, other have also changed significantly - from dilapidation to beautifully restored historical sites. See it for yourselves!  The investor is PKP S.A. company

Wrocław Brochów Station

One part of the investment was to refurbish the station hall, now acting as the waiting room. Travellers can now use new benches and refurbished toilets. Also, staircases, windows and doors have regained their former looks. Moreover, the outside of the station was renovated. Transfigured was the elevation, and stuccoes as well as wooden constructions were restored, together with a historical clock with Roman numerals and stylized hands on the façade. Also the square in front of the station was refurbished, with a newly laid pavement and ten parking lots, including one for a disabled person. The cost of the investment: 1 640 000 PLN

Wrocław Leśnica Station

Rebuilding the Wrocław Leśnica station included the passenger service rooms. Also refurbished was the façade, with a restored historical clock. The Wrocław Leśnica station had also the window and door woodwork replaced, as well as installations and external insulation. The station gained also visual monitoring as well as voice and visual information systems.The cost of investment: 2 370 000 PLN

Wrocław Pracze Station

Refurbishment of Wrocław Pracze station included not only the station building itself, but the expedition building as well. The station building had the passenger service rooms refurbished, as well as the brick façade, together with an adjacent shelter. The refurbishment encompassed also the staircases, and included replacing window and door woodwork as well as installations. The building also gained insulation. The façade from the platforms' side gained a restored historical clock. Also, a monitoring and new voice information systems were installed at the station.

The cost of investment: 2 590 000 PLN

Wrocław Mikołajów Station

Owing to the investment the station changed a lot. Inside, the space has been rearranged in a new and more functional way: the hall was thoroughly refurbished and a voice system, benches and new timetable displays were installed. Also, the toilettes gained new look. The new exit from the hall to the platform tunnel is a major convenience for the passengers, as earlier they needed to go around the building to get to the train. The façade has also undergone thorough refurbishment.

The cost of investment: 2 270 000 PLN

Wrocław Main Station

The investment included the whole of the Main Station Wrocław complex. Remodelled was the station square, which now became a genuine city square, with patches of green, arranged vegetations, pedestrian streets, colourful fountains and new elements of minor architecture. In the eastern part a ground parking space was arranged, with a taxi stop. Also, an underground parking space for 217 vehicles has been arranged, with two entrances from Sts. Piłsudskiego and Peronowa. The underground parking has access to the main building and the station square via elevators and staircases. As a part of the investment, the main building was rebuilt together with the ticket office hall. During works discovered and renovated were unique architectural monuments, among others the Session and Imperial Halls. The cost of the investment: 323 600 000 PLN (net with POIiŚ co-financing)

Wrocław Kuźniki Station

Rebuilding the Wrocław Kuźniki station included the passenger service rooms as well as commercial units. Also renovated were the façade, the staircase and the window and door woodwork. The façade from the platforms' side gained a restored historical clock. Also, a monitoring and new voice information systems were installed at the station.

The cost of investment: 2 270 000 PLN
