Screenings in Rynek
Film screenings will be held in Rynek for ten consecutive summer evenings (from 22 to 31 July at 10 pm) as part of 16. T-Mobile Nowe Horyzonty International Film Festival. The programme features last year's award-winning features, including "Youth" by Paolo Sorrentino, "The Lure" by Agnieszka Smoczyńska, "The Treasure" by Corneliu Porumboiu, "Goodnight Mommy" by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala or "The Brand New Testament" by Jaco Van Dormael. On Monday 25 July, a screening will be held featuring the Italian classic "Special Day" by Ettore Scola (made in 1977, remastered by the CSC-Cineteca Nazionale under Luciano Tovoli's supervision, in collaboration with Surf Film), and of Thursday 28 July a screening of the digitally remastered "Ludzie bez jutra" [People Without Future] by Aleksander Hertz (made in 1919, one of the earliest Polish silent films). All screenings are available free of charge.
Cinema in Wyspa Słodowa
Latest award-winning titles recognised in Berlin, Sundance and Locarno will be presented on Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, a good helping of independent cinema. Outdoor screenings will have been held on Fridays and Saturdays by the end of August.
Admission is free. The audience can enjoy the screenings in comfortable deckchairs.
Cigarettes or drink alcohol are prohibited during the screenings.

"Summer in Pergola" brings a variety of outdoor events and attractions, including a play zone for children, yoga and fitness activities outdoors, art shows and film screenings. Join us on 29 July to see "Niagara", a noir classic from 1953 starring Marylin Monroe. The programme also brings "Water for Elephants" starring Reese Witherspoon and a sports drama called "Chasing Mavericks".
