Europe on a Fork 2015 [PROGRAM]

The 7th edition of Europe on a Fork – a great food festival organised by the Wroclaw City Promotion Office – will lead us on a culinary route through 16 regions of Europe. See the program and the menu.

Do we remember the origin of the idea for this biggest culinary event in Poland – a specific picnic in the city centre that is attended by thousands of Wroclaw inhabitants and visitors, for whom Europe on a Fork itself is often the main reason for arriving in Wroclaw? The Mayor of Wroclaw Rafał Dutkiewicz explained this during a conference announcing the next edition of the festival, which took place in Art Hotel: In every house the main room is called the living room or the dining room. And when we organise a large home party on some occasion, we invite guests to the dining room and serve the best possible dinner. This is the idea which inspired the creation of Europe on a Fork. The 4th of June is regarded as the symbolic date of the restoration of Poland’s full independence, so since we want to celebrate it in Wroclaw, we invite you to dinner in our dining room.’

This year’s dinner will last as long as five days and will consist of many dishes. It is supposed to combine good taste with education and entertainment, as the feast should take place not only at a well-laid table, where specialties from 16 various European regions will be served, -, but also to the sounds of good music, which will be performed by great stars of Polish stage this year.
