Łukasz Stelmach, born in '88, is a boy from Wroclaw's legendary Triangle (Kościuszki, Traugutta and Pułaskiego streets). His history and passion for Wroclaw, what the city used to look like and how it is changing has already been described at www.wroclaw.pl.
Łukasz does not complain about the lack of activities: he works professionally in one of Wroclaw-based companies, takes photographs, goes through archives, visits antique markets and online auctions and patiently searches for architectural trivia connected with Breslau and Wroclaw.
After work, he gets on his bike and cruises the streets of Wroclaw. He observes changes in his hometown, takes photos and looks for places to show on his Facebook profile ‘My old Wroclaw’, which breaks popularity records.

Łukasz Stelmach’s comparative photographs of streets, squares and tenement houses were so popular that he came up with something new – YouTube reels with comparative frames of places in Wroclaw - and his latest idea is special ‘My Old Wroclaw’ T-shirts.
These are T-shirts with printed photographs depicting old and contemporary Wroclaw. The first series of T-shirts in 2024 was only on special order and sold out quickly.
Łukasz’s initiatives appealed to the bosses of Polish clothing and equipment brand Octagon, and now we can see the result.

In January 2025, the latest 'My Old Wroclaw' T-shirts were released for general sale, featuring one place and two monuments – King Frederick William III of Prussia and Count Aleksander Fredro.
‘The interest surpassed our wildest expectations, so we decided to make them available for general sale,’ says Łukasz Stelmach.
The Octagon brand presents T-shirts from the limited series My Old Wroclaw. T-shirts can be purchased online and in Octagon’s Wroclaw shop in Pasaż Grunwaldzki.

As you may remember, Łukasz chooses an old pre-war photograph or postcard from Wroclaw. Carefully, millimetre by millimetre, he checks the frame and all characteristic details. He finds the place and takes a contemporary photograph.
Often the only common element is one small detail, the rest having been destroyed during the war or later demolished. Łukasz publishes comparative photographs on his Facebook page 'My old Wroclaw' and on Instagram and TikTok.
