Charity concert - Sygit Band

Have you seen Professor Jan Miodek singing? Or Professor Alicja Chybicka with a guitar? If not, soon you will have a chance. The Foundation Wrocławskie Hospicjum dla Dzieci welcomes to a unique charity concert of Sygit Band, an ensemble comprising over twenty Wrocław celebrities: famous doctors, scientists, entrepreneurs. Music is their passion, and by playing, they help. On stage will appear, e.g. Prof. Alicja Chybicka, Prof. Jan Miodek, Prof. Marek Sąsiadek, Prof. Marek Ziętek and Paweł Wróblewski, PhD. Proceeds from the concert will be used to provide psychological care and in-home rehabilitation of children from the home hospice for children. The partners are the Rotary Club and the Foundation Bente Kahan.

Masters of cabaret at the Wrocek Festival gala

The unpredictable stand-uper, the lyrical satirist, two cult cabarets and a man with a Scotch tape on his mouth are the highlights of the Gala of the International Comedy Festival Wrocek.

This is the biggest regular comedy event in the city, providing an enormous dose of laughter and good humour every two weeks. Its speciality is primarily stand-up, nowadays the most dynamically developing comedy genre. However, the event is not foreign to other forms of entertainment, such as theatre or comedy improvisation, i.e. a live, unscripted performance, based solely on the audience's suggestions. Wrocek assembles the best comedians and artists from all over Poland. The final gala is a summary of the year-long competition on the festival stage. It will feature renowned and popular artists, including Andrzej Poniedzielski, Kabaret OTTO, Mariusz Kałamaga, Elita. The star of the evening will be the Boy with Tape on his Face - a New Zealand universal artist and quarter-finalists of the American edition of Got Talent. For more information go: here

Jazztopad: Hugh Masekela

November 27, 7 pm, the National Forum of Music, tickets: 70-210 PLN

The organizers promise that the concert at the NFM will be an opportunity to meet with a true legend of jazz. The achievements of the South African multi-instrumentalist and composer Hugh Masakela reflect the history of music of the 20th century. Active on the jazz scene since the 1950s, he has created an engaged music, which reflects the experience of his own life and his countrymen in South Africa's apartheid era. Masekela is a promoter of South African music styles, such as the mbaqanga, and one of the UNESCO jazz ambassadors, as well as a frequent visitor to the White House, where he performed alongside Herby Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Aretha Franklin.

Concert: Hey

November 27, 7 pm, Wrocław Congress Centre at the Centennial Hall

The concert of Hey is a part of the tour "Błysk". Hey is one of the most important Polish rock bands, influencing the history of Polish music for years. Since 1992, their work - great compositions with moving and sincere lyrics by Katarzyna Nosowska - quickly gained the favour of the audience. For more than 20 years, the band has oscillated between grunge, alternative rock and electronic music.
