Air Picnic in Szymanow

Among the attractions of the picnic are, for example, demonstrations of aerobatics, parachuting and paragliding shows, as well as demonstrations of anti-terrorist groups with pyrotechnics.
Directions: as every year, the 908 bus route will be extended from Nadodrze train station to Szymanów (airport of Aero Club Wroclaw).
Wroclaw Beer Fest - farewell of summer 2015

Wroclaw Beer Fest will be held in the last weekend, to mark the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Solidarity and it will be accompanied by special events. On Saturday in the Centennial Hall will take place a concert of Perfect and Dżem. On Sunday, during a several-hour music event open to the public will perform The Cavern Beatles - a Liverpool-based band playing the hits of The Beatles in the original arrangements and styling. Earlier, the audience will hear songs from the repertoire of Marilyn Monroe by a star of Polish jazz and soul - Monika Borzym, as well as Polish hits arranged by the Wroclaw guitarist and YouTuber Maciek Czemplik, sung by singer guests whom he invited to Wroclaw.

Perfect and Dżem at wRock for Freedom

This year, the event to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Solidarity will be celebrated, not in the depot at ul. Grabiszyńska, currently under renovation, but in the Centennial Hall. The concert will feature two legends of the Polish rock scene, being the same age as the Solidarity. The audience will hear the familiar hits of Perfect, such as 'Autobiografia,' 'Nie płacz Ewka,' 'Chcemy być sobą,' 'Niewiele ci mogę dać', as well as such hits of Dżem as 'Whisky,' 'Sen o Victorii,' 'List do M.,' or 'Czerwony jak cegła.'
Free tours in the footsteps of Wroclaw dwarfs

Free tours for children aged 5 - 12 years with parents on Fridays during vacation (6 pm), Saturdays (4 pm) and Sundays (11 am). The meeting place: the Market Square, the Dwarf Tourist Information Centre. Registration is not required. To wander the trail of dwarfs, just arrive at the right time and join the guides.

Do you play the guitar, or sing? Or maybe you have always dreamed about it, but were afraid to try? The organizers welcome to making music together on the Słodowa Island.
At 8.30, on selected Saturdays in July and August the Slodowa Island hosts a guitar workshop 'Musical Travels.' Please bring your own guitar. The next meeting will include modern gospel.

Festival of Lower Silesia Flavours

Every Sunday, meet Lower Silesia farmers and producers. The offer includes a wide range of vegetables, goat cheese, sheep's and cow's milk, cottage cheese, cheese ripened and regular, butter, buttermilk, milk, sausages, and cold pressed oils of the best mills in Lower Silesia. There are tables, benches, blankets. On-site you can have a family picnic in a meadow. Free coffee for all guests; hot or iced, depending on the ambient temperature.
Wroclaw Dog Adoption Day, Dog Fun Fest

The event promotes the adoption of stray dogs. It will be held for the sixth time. Together with your pet, you can take part in the Adopted Dog Rally, watch demonstrations of agility or frisbee, or consult specialists in terms of dog training and care. There will also be plenty of activities for the youngsters, for example, workshops 'Eye to Eye With Dog', teaching how to safely associate with a dog, a puppet show, story readings, physical activities and many other attractions.
And for the adults the programme includes: concerts of Wroclaw bands, yoga and dance workshops, horse riding shows, a chillout zone and a lot of interesting stands.

Outdoor Library at Słodowa Island - family workshops

The last meeting on Słodowa Island. The name Library Outdoor stands for both an open space lending library and a series of family workshops inspired by the book 'Wspólnie czyli razem' ('Jointly means together...') engaging children and parents to play together.
The programme on 30 August includes: 'dancing shoes,' 'swirling scarves' and fragrant bookmarks for the end of summer.

The Cavern Beatles - concert at the Pergola

Coming to Wroclaw from Liverpool are The Cavern Beatles, the most famous band in the world playing hits of the legendary Liverpool Four identically to the original. To support The Cavern Beatles are Polish singers:
- Monika Borzym, with the repertoire of Marilyn Monroe,
- 'Polish Youth Sings Polish Songs' - Natalia Lubrano, Ania Kłys, Marta Kołodziejczyk, Kasia Mirowska, Paulina Lenda, Agnieszka Jędruch, Karolina Łopuch and the band of Maciej Czemplik.
The concert is a part of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Solidarity.
The Singing Island, i.e. joint singing on Słodowa Island

Songs of three generations sung with the piano - those close to the hearts of children, their parents and grandparents. Songbooks, an accompanist, announcer and sound system are waiting for the willing. The repertoire includes classics such as 'Prząśniczka,' 'Gdybym miał gitarę,' the patriotic ones, such as 'Przybyli ułani pod okienko,' and also a little something for kids, e.g.: 'Kolorowe kredki', 'Kundel bury' and 'Jadą, jadą misie.' Each meeting begins with a joint performance of the famous 'Piosenka wroclawska' ('Wroclaw song' from the repertoire of Maria Koterbska.

Afternoon tea with a book
5 pm, every Sunday until 30 August, the Południowy Park as part of the 'ECC Parks'
The Literary Elections welcome to an 'Afternoon Tea with a Book' on the stage, as part of the 'ECC Parks.' During the meeting, presented will be more and less known gems of Polish literature - book excerpts and poems. The meeting's highlight will be tea served by the volunteers of the Literary Elections. Both kids and adults are welcome, everyone will find something to their liking. The coming Sundays will be marked by texts of another author and genre. This Sunday, a meeting with the first Polish SF novel - amateur actors from Teatr Ej.Aj and the volunteers of the Literary Elections will read 'trylogia księżycowa' (The Moon Trilogy') by Jerzy Żuławski.
Maciej Czemplik: duos
8 pm, Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant, ul. Oławska 13, free admission
He is an architect, but his life's passion is music. He is a jazz guitarist, actively associated with the Wroclaw music scene, and a student of Artur Lesicki. In 2001, he and Maciek Mazurek were the winners of an international jazz guitarists competition 'Guitar City' in Warsaw. He worked with the Music Theatre Capitol, Ad Spectatores Theatre, as well as bands Afromental and Asylum.
