Wroclaw does not slow down: Made in Wroclaw 2020. Online fair and conference

Made in Wroclaw is a real festival of innovations; this year it will take place for the 4th time. This year’s edition is exceptional – from 20th till 22nd October 2020, everyone can take part in the virtual fair and conference and find out who is the driving force of Wroclaw.

The year 2020 brought about the challenges that surprised all of us. In spite of this, Wroclaw does not slow down. The entrepreneurs, scientists and innovators working here continue to develop technologies, products and services that conquer world markets. You will have an opportunity to learn them at the Made in Wroclaw 2020 virtual fair and conference.

Free innovation fair

On the occasion of the free Made in Wroclaw virtual fair to be held on 22nd October, you can become familiar with companies, inventions and innovations that drive the development of the city without leaving your house or office.

‘The power of Wroclaw lies in our inhabitants, so it is not surprising that Wroclaw is also a city with a gigantic creative potential – Wroclaw start-ups conquer international markets and scientists carry on world-famous projects. On the other hand, international corporations recognise the intellectual potential of our city and invest in Wroclaw. I am proud of these achievements and I am happy that we will see what the young creative minds are working on during Made in Wroclaw 2020. After all, they make the world better for all of us,’ stresses Jacek Sutryk, the Mayor of Wroclaw.

Participation in the online fair will be an opportunity to look into places that are usually unavailable. It will take just one click to move to shops, showrooms and studios of companies specialising in such fields as Industry 4.0, IT or medtech.

Direct connections with fair stands of companies and institutions present at Made in Poland, moderated online networking and virtual 1:1 meetings will allow participants to talk directly to representatives of the Wroclaw business environment and local start-ups.

It will be a great occasion to draw inspiration from their activity and to talk about the potential co-operation that they offer. Visitors can also take part in competitions with prizes.

Business challenges at the online conference

The challenges being faced by entrepreneurs today will be discussed at the three-day Made in Wroclaw 2020 conference. We will talk about handling these challenges in a way that would allow us not only to keep the pace, but also to develop. Among the invited guests, there are recognised business leaders and scientists. Importantly, participation in the conference is free of charge for everyone this year.

‘Each day of the conference will be devoted to factual discussions concerning one topic that is of key importance from the business perspective. On the first day, we will try to answer the question if the coronavirus pandemic can be perceived not only as a threat to economy, but also as an economic opportunity. On the second day, we will discuss the potential of Industry 4.0 and its impact on local economy. On the last day of Made in Wroclaw 2020, we will talk about whether a synergic connection between ecology and business is possible,’ says Magdalena Okulowska, the president of the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW).

Although the conference will be held online, there will be an opportunity to talk to panelists and speakers, including representatives of companies and organisations such as 3M, Nokia, GlobalLogic, Whirlpool, JP Weber, Fanuc, ITCorner or SoDA.

‘Thanks to the possibility of exchanging observations and asking detailed questions during the conference discussion, each participant will gain not only inspiration, but also the specific knowledge that he needs. Even though this year’s Made in Wroclaw has an online formula, we have made every effort to ensure the active participation in the event for all visitors! Each day of the conference will end in moderate business networking,’ adds the president of the ARAW.

It is worth being there

Made in Wroclaw will be held between 20th and 22nd October 2020. The conference will last three days, and the fair will take place on the last day (22nd October 2020). Participation in both events is free, and registration is possible at: www.made-in-wroclaw.pl.

The event is organised by the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency and the City of Wroclaw. The contents partners of Made in Wroclaw 2020 are: 3M, Fanuc, Whirlpool, GlobalLogic, ITCorner and SoDA, and the strategic patrons of the event are Hays, CBRE and JP Weber.
