You may choose from such attractions as: a carnival ball in Nadodrze, guided walking tours, the Phonographic Fair, this time hosted by the Museum of Postal Services and Telecommunication, or an exhibition on "The History of Master Thaddeus". On Sunday you may celebrate the birthday of the Discovery Centre of the Centennial Hall or enjoy performances by top comedians at Poligon Kabaretowy.

  • A walking tour "In the Footsteps of Medieval Love"

Take a walk with the Wrocław Lovers’ Association. We are gathering at the main entrance of the seminary on Ostrów Tumski to set out on a tour to find out who loved whom back in the ancient times, and if the love was true. We will also try to discover what to do to make our love last forever.

Reverberating fiesta to the hot rhythms of Latino music and flamenco as part of the 6th Festival of Art Bringing Generations Together "Flamenco Inspirations" - Cultures Interacting (Festiwal Sztuka Łączy Pokolenia "Inspiracje Flamenco" - Przenikanie Kultur). You will swirl on the dance floor to the music by DJ Sofocacion (Kuba) and will have a chance to learn the basic steps of Latino dances. You may also bring your own instruments and noisemakers.

16 February marks the Discovery Centre’s second birthday. Three puppet masters of the animation theatre in Jelenia Góra are coming to Wrocław to present one of the most popular fairytales, featuring brave Tom Thumb, capricious princess and Madej the evil rouge. The show’s exceptionally functional stage setting was conceived by Levan Mantidze, while its rhythmic, rousing music was composed by one of the actresses, Bogna von Woedtke. The director, Lidia Lisowicz, stresses that underlying the performance’s fast action and humour is a universal message that we need to keep our world ordered and harmonious.

Poligon’s host, Piotr "Guma" Gumulec, is presenting a night of comedy titled "Love and Adjacent Territories" ("Miłość i okolice"), featuring some new, debuting sketches and songs, written especially for the Poligon. The line-up: Chyba, Dabz, Tiruriru and Ścibor Szpak, as well as unexpected guests and surprises, culminating with the famous "Last Night’s Sketch" ("Skecz Poprzedniej Nocy").

Normally hosted by the Firlej Club, this weekend the Lower Silesian Phonographic Fair is taking place at the Museum of Postal Services and Telecommunication (Muzeum Poczty i Telekomunikacji), featuring a collection of historic gramophones that makes up the exhibition "From Phonograph to Gramophone", along with a wide array of vinyl records. The programme also includes the Sound Zone, Wrocław’s hi-fi show, presenting cutting-edge gramophones and their beautiful sound.

  • Charity basketball game at the Orbita Hall

This Sunday, 16 February, the Orbita Hall is hosting a charity basketball tournament. Proceeds will be forwarded to the "Potrafię Pomóc" foundation for the rehabilitation of their patients at the rehabilitation and education centre on Kominiarskiej street in Wrocław.

On Sunday, 2 February, High School No. 9 (ul. Piotra Skargi 29/31)will host a kendo showcase and workshops for kids (7 yrs old and older), adolescents and adults. From 9 to 10am.

You will also be able to learn more about joining the kendo section launched in January 2014. Entry to the sports facilities is situated at the back of the school. Come, explore the secrets of the art of Japanese "fencing" and try your hand at it!
