According to weather forecasters from the IMGW forecast office in Wroclaw, the temperature will fall on Wednesday 30th December, but weather will change already on Tuesday. "The polar maritime air mass will be replaced with an arctic air mass from the north. We will be situated on the edge of the high pressure area whose centre stretches over Scandinavia", says Maria Orawczak, the duty weather forecaster from the IMGW forecast office. What does this mean?
The approach of the high-pressure area means bright and cold weather. Wednesday will be sunny, and there will be no clouds at night, which means that it will be much colder: the minimum temperature will range from -6 to -3°C. On New Year’s Eve, we can expect maximum 1 degree above zero during the day, but remember to dress warmly for the night, particularly if you want to attend the New Year’s Eve event on Market Square, because the temperature will drop even to -7°C. New Year’s Day and further two days will be cloudless, and the air will be dry, with the maximum temperature ranging from -3 to 0°C. Unfortunately, there will be no snowfalls in Wroclaw and in the mountains. The wind will be moderate and weak. In the highest parts of the Sudetes, the temperature will range from -7 to -4°C, and the wind will be strong or very strong.
