Tickets for test concerts
Throughout August, tuning the National Forum of Music Hall will continue before the inaugural season, which starts on September 4. Everyone will be able to take part in test concerts, scheduled for August 8 (the finals of the Singing Europe project, featuring Paul McCreesh, as the conductor), and August 14 and 21 (Olga Pasiecznik will perform with the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra). Tickets will be on sale from July 27.
Types of tickets
Tickets for regular symphony concerts cost: 25 PLN - reduced, 40 PLN - regular, 60 PLN - VIP, for chamber concerts: 20 PLN, 30 PLN, 50 PLN, respectively. Special concerts (including the Vienna Philharmonics, and pianist Lang Lang) are priced differently (check the event's description). It is known that e.g. the best, VIP places for the Viennese with access to the VIP room (a new feature) will cost 500 PLN, but the regular ticket will cost 50 PLN, and reduced 30 PLN.
Which tickets are worth buying? To the London Symphony Orchestra (May 25, 2016) and to the Wiener Philharmoniker (May 30, 2016), to Lang Lang with the Washington Symphony Orchestra (February 18, 2016), as well as to the Chopin Competition winners' concert (25 October 2016).
There will be no more passes (there is no standing room), but the organizers argue that the lowest ticket prices will be at a price of the previous passes.
Subscription tickets
Regulars will surely be interested in subscriptions. There are three kinds - to symphony concerts (for 19 concerts the price ranges from 528 PLN to 2000 PLN), to chamber concerts (from 100 to 250 PLN), and to early music concerts (for all of the 16 concerts the fee ranges from 272 to 736 PLN). Details are available here.
Discounts for tickets
Apart from the usual discount-takers, cheaper tickets will be available students of music education, students, pregnant women (20 percent discount on presentation of their pregnancy documentation card in the first few months, then the belly in the last), holders of the EUROhere.
Facilities for disabled
Nine special places for people in a wheelchair were prepared in the NMF's main hall. In addition, at their disposal will be, if necessary, 2 rows in which chairs can be removed - one row at the amphitheatre, the second on the first balcony. A person in a wheelchair will have an opportunity to listen to a concert next to their escort (thanks to removable chair the wheelchair will enter between the other places in a row).
Box offices in the NFM from July 27
The box office at the National Forum of Music kicks off on 27 July. For now, tickets and subscriptions are available in Wroclaw Philharmonic box office at ul. Pilsudskiego, but only until 13 July. Then between 13 and 26 July the administration of the NFM is moving to the NFM building, so then tickets will be available on the Internet.
