On 22nd June, the summer season of road and trackway repair works began. In some parts of the city, there will be changes in tram and bus routes and traffic difficulties. Check detours, periods and changes in the transport system.
Ul. Ślężna
Roadmen will work in the sections from ul. Sanocka to ul. Kuronia and from ul. Dębowa to ul. Weigla. Works at Ślężna should be completed by the end of August.
From 24th June, trams no. 9 and 5 will ride only to the Gaj tram depot; the farther section to the loop in Park Południowy will be served by the bus no. 709.
The works do not generate serious difficulties for drivers.
Plac Legionów
The repair of the trackway at Pl. Legionów should be completed by 31st August. Because of the investment, the routes of tram lines 4, 5, 11, 14 and 24 will change. The repair works will be divided into a few stages.
From 24th June 2019, tram shuttle service (tram line 74) will operate on the Pl. Legionów – Oporów – Pl. Legionów route.
Tram line 16
From 22nd June, tram line 16 was reactivated after a few years. Its route runs from Tarnogaj to the Wroclaw Zoo via new tramway at ul. Hubska.
Road works
The beginning of the summer period means also a new stage of construction of the tram route at ul. Długa; this will involve changes in bus routes and car traffic restrictions. Road workers will start the reconstruction of the railway viaduct and the intersection of ul. Długa and ul. Poznańska.
The routes of bus lines C, 103, 104, 122, 127, 128 and night bus line 245 will change.
Obornicka, Pełczyńska, Zajączkowska and Pęgowska streets
In mid-July, the large-scale reconstruction of the road no. 342 is also planned at the exit road from Wroclaw towards Oborniki Śląskie. New pavements, pedestrian crossings and cycle tracks will be built within more than 5 km. On that occasion, sewage disposal and gas supply networks will be placed in new sections.
