The peak flood wave is currently passing through the Bystrzyca River. This morning, the water level was around 360 cm high, and now it may be fluctuating up and down by a few centimetres. The wave has already reached its highest level.
This high water level in the Bystrzyca has been caused by the increased water discharge from the Mietkowski Reservoir, currently at 100 m³/s. According to the latest information from the authorities, the reservoir is releasing as much water as it receives.
Hydrologists predict that the elevated water level in the Bystrzyca will persist for up to two days. We have decided to apply protective foil along the entire Wrocław section of the embankment along the Bystrzyca.
Water from the Bystrzyca in Marszowice is spilling over the reinforced polders. The State Fire Service is helping to reinforce the embankments along the road. These are precautionary measures, and there is no immediate threat.
A group of soldiers from the Territorial Defence Forces (WOT) has been deployed to assist at the Słoneczne Stabłowice housing estate. Bags and sand have also been provided. As previously informed, soldiers are there to help the residents with building reinforcements. There is no threat to residential buildings in the area.
