The fair will also be an opportunity to play the latest computer and video games, watch presentations of upcoming productions (e.g., Dying Light, Hellraid) and listen to lectures on work in the gaming industry. Apart from that, the programme includes workshops, one of which will concern the creation of costumes for cosplay and will be conducted by the well-known female cosplayer Shapii. Extra attractions will include evening e-sport tournaments and a night marathon of trailers and films.
Game of Wroclaw
During the event, the premiere of the “Game of Wroclaw” will take place. The competition for this game was announced by the Impart WROCLAW 2016 Festival Office, and the game was eventually produced by a group of students from “TK Games” – the Scientific Circle of the Faculty of Electronics of the Wroclaw University of Technology. The game is a combination of an arcade game and a puzzle game and is divided into 10 separate missions revealing various symbols of Wroclaw. ”Wroclaw has a long-standing reputation as one of the strongest centres of creative industries. It is home to many major computer game producers and creators of digital animations or special effects. Apart from that, it is the place of active operation of Creativro - a cluster comprising Polish leaders of this dynamically growing sector. It is also worth noting that Wroclaw as the European Capital of Culture 2016 puts much emphasis on the development of co-operation between science, technology and art. In view of this, we think that Hall of Games fits with the policy of our city and we are pleased to take part in the organisation of this event," Ewa Kaucz, Vice-President of the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency.
