The platform made available by the National Health Fund is the place of first contact for the patient in the case of sudden illness or the need to issue an e-prescription or a similar document when primary health care units are already closed or on weekends and holidays. Medical consultations are provided by nurses or midwives and doctors.
Calls are free and can be made only from Poland, because the platform is addressed only to persons insured and living in Poland.
Calls available in a number of languages
Calls from patients are received from Monday till Friday between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. on the following day and round the clock on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The platform handles calls in Polish, English, Russian and Ukrainian.
Remote consultations with a nurse, midwife or doctor are also available to deaf patients. They connect via video chat. Communication is done in sign language, with support from a Polish Sign Language interpreter.
