Transport, greenery and environmental solutions
A car park for 58 cars will be built next to the facility, with four charging stations for electric vehicles. Room has been made for 472 bicycle spaces, some of which are under a shelter. There will be new pavements and bike paths. At the same time, the entrances from Zwycięska and Agrestowa streets will be rebuilt.
There will be 224 trees planted in the complex: ginkgo trees, maples, chestnut trees, poplars, plane trees and other species. Plus more than 8,000 shrubs and other plants.
The area will be illuminated (LED) and the sports unit will get a photovoltaic installation. The two buildings and the shelter will have green roofs. In addition, green areas and rainwater drainage facilities (“rain gardens”) will be constructed.
The cost of the investment, which is co-financed by the government's Polish Deal programme, is around PLN 90 million. Such an expensive educational facility has never been built in Wroclaw before. The general contractor is Mirbud.
School and Kindergarten Complex at Zwycięska. Preparations for the launch of the facility
The city is making organisational preparations for the launch of the new school and kindergarten. The division of classes and groups is being planned, and staffing is under way.
Electronic recruitment for primary school first classes will begin on 18th February and will be conducted via rekrutacje.edu.wroclaw.pl. Children living in the school's catchment area will be guaranteed a place at the new facility.
‘Parents who are planning to move their older children to the school at Zwycięska Street can submit their applications in person to the secretariats of primary schools No. 4, 34 or 64 until 27th February. Timely applications will make it easier for us to plan branches,’ says Marcin Miedziński, Deputy Director of the Department of Education.
Kindergarten recruitment for all age groups will start on 20th March.
