Every year, the Wrocław Christmas Market attracts thousands of visitors from Polandand abroad and recently won an online poll for the most beautiful Christmas fair in Europe.
Wrocław Christmas Market - dates and times
In 2025, the Christmas Market will open on 21 November and will be a part of the citycentre until 7 January 2026 - including New Year's Eve and Epiphany.
You can visit it daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. - with several exceptions, which willbe outlined later in the article. It will spread across the
- Market Square (south, north, east, and west frontage),
- Świdnicka Street - from the Market Square to the underpass, including the new area from the underpass towards the Opera House,
- Oławska Street - from the Market Square to Szewska Street,
- and the Salt Square.
As every year, the Christmas Market is organised by the Pianoforte Artistic Agency.
Christmas Market during the Christmas and New Year period
The Market will be closed on the following days:
- 24 December 2025 (Christmas Eve);
- 25 December 2025 (Christmas Day);
- 1 January 2026 (New Year).
The Market will be open on the following days:
- 26 December 2025 (Boxing Day) - the Market will be open from 1:00 p.m.;
- 31 December 2025 (New Year's Eve) – booths with industrial goods will be open until 5:00 p.m., while catering establishments and booths offering beverages will remain open until 2:00 a.m. (on 1 January 2026).
What’s new at the Wrocław Christmas Market this year?
The area of the Wrocław Christmas Market will be divided into thematic zones, whichwill take visitors on journeys into fairytale worlds. Each world will be characterised byits own unique atmosphere and characters, along with a mulled wine and hotchocolate booth.
Western frontage - the Fairy Tale World
This part of the Market will enchant visitors with true magic - the talking moose Antekand the Ice Queen, who will take those who dare straight to the world of winter tales.The heart of the zone will be located in the Moose Inn, where you can grab awarming and aromatic mulled wine or hot chocolate.
You can also encounter a new addition to the Christmas Market - the Christmaspostcard, or a booth where you can take a commemorative photograph.
Northern frontage - the World of the Forest Gnomes
This space will be transformed into a magical forest where jolly gnomes will reignsupreme. Amidst the trees and mushrooms, you will encounter the gnomes and thenew glowing Gnome Giant, guarding the peace in the land. The Mill House with animpressive vertical windmill - an attraction serving mulled wine and hot chocolate -will be built in the heart of the zone.
Another new fixture this year is the Christmas tree merry-go-round - an amazinginstallation with gondolas shaped like colourful baubles revolving around the brightlylit tree.
East frontage - Fairy Tale Forest
This place will be transformed into a land of colour, lights and joy - a perfect place forfamilies with an interactive gift factory and fairy tale huts where children will watchmini-plays of well-known stories.
This part of the Christmas Market will include a fun zone with merry-go-rounds and anew rollercoaster. A Christmas windmill with a tower with a mini train will add to theambience.
A new fixture during this year’s Christmas Market is the Santa's Workshop aninteractive Christmas obstacle course, created with both children and adults in mind,which will certainly get people to cheer, laugh and enjoy good vibes.
South frontage - Land of Dwarves and Reindeer
The gate to this realm will be guarded by figures of dwarves that will put you in afestive mood. You will also encounter an impressive new installation - a large,illuminated reindeer with an enchanted sleigh, where you can take a commemorativephotograph.
This section of the Christmas Market will also host the Under the Dwarf house,serving aromatic mulled wine and hot chocolate - a place for everybody who wants towarm up and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the place.
Salt Square - the Elf Realm
This part of the Christmas Market will be transformed into a bustling Elf Realm, withelves peeking out from behind the Christmas decorations. The heart of the zone willbe located at the Salt Square Town Hall with new festive decorations and chimes onfull hours, where visitors can warm up with a mug of mulled wine or hot chocolate.
The realm will also offer unique decorations, including the magical Elf Keyhole, whereeverybody can take a commemorative photograph. For the active visitors on thelookout for some fun, we have prepared an interactive obstacle course - the MagicPlayland - with plenty of fun for children and adults alike.
Organisers of the Wrocław Christmas Market: ‘In addition to the newly createdthematic zones, we are also bringing out a new attraction for this year’s Market - animpressive gate installed on Oławska Street, an enormous structure, 5.5-metre talland 8 metres wide, adorned with hundreds of blinking lights and natural-looking pineneedles for a truly festive look. The sign at the top will welcome the visitors to theChristmas Market.
The Wrocław - Social and Local Zone
The Wrocław - Social and Local Zone will also be set up along the western frontageof the Market Square, showcasing exhibitors from Lower Silesia and local producers.The wooden booths will house studios for regional products and artistic crafts.
The zone is also a place for Wrocław-based organisations and entities that supportimportant social initiatives to showcase their activities. The Wrocław Municipality willalso be there with its booth.
What to eat at the Wrocław Christmas Market?
Traditional delicacies and grilled goods
If you are looking for grilled dishes, you can find Polish sausages, shashliks, stews,pierogi, a traditional slice of bread with lard, hunter’s stew and highland cheese withcranberry.
World cuisines
The Christmas Market will also feature delicacies from all of Europe and the world -Alsatian flammkuchen, Lithuanian cold cuts and delicacies, Italian specialities,Portuguese sweets, Spanish churros, Lángos, Korean snacks, and Belgian fries.
Sweets and baked goods
There will be no shortage of Christmas sweets, including traditional and bubblywaffles, Kürtőskalács, fruit in chocolate, donuts, Hungarian cakes, sweet bakedgoods and gingerbread.
Chocolate lovers will enjoy chocolate products and Christmas pralines, while nutaficionados should be on a lookout for dried fruit, nuts in caramel and halva.
Snacks and treats
If you are looking for a quick bite, you can find the classic zapiekanka, potato springs,French pancakes, bagels and a variety of highland cheese and pelmeni.
Meads and warming drinks
The wooden booths will serve meads, aromatic teas and other warming drinks thatwill put you in a festive mood.

The line runs on Saturdays and Sundays at a frequency of every 20 minutes, from 1November to 30 April between 12:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Park&Ride in Wrocław. Where to park your car?
The number of parking spaces in the city centre is limited. To avoid stress, you canuse one of the 36 Park&Ride car parks, which offer a total of 2808 parking spaces.
You can use some of these car parks during the week with at least a 24-hour ticket,but on the weekends during the Christmas Market the barriers will be left up and theycan be used free of charge from 4:00 p.m. on Fridays until 5:00 a.m. on Mondays.
