Find out where in Wroclaw the refugees from Ukraine can get help, housing, food, clothes and cleaning materials.

Free transport in Wrocław for war refugees from Ukraine

The city has made it possible for people from Ukraine who will come to Wroclaw and travel around the city to use the public transport for free.

  • In the case of ticket control, it is enough to show, for example, a passport confirming the date of entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland.
  • Free transportation is valid until March 31, 2022.
  • The free transportation also includes the agglomeration lines 9xx within the city.

Daycare rooms for Ukrainian children in schools

Since March 1st, 6 day care facilities have been created in educational centers in Wroclaw. These are places where parents may bring their Ukrainian children for a few hours a day. Other institutions also offer their services.

Living in Wroclaw

For those who have left the territory of Ukraine there are places prepared in student dormitories in Wittigowo housing estate (Wittig St.). Usually migrants stay there for two or three days at the most and then they are moved to other apartments in Wroclaw or nearby. Referrals to student residences can be obtained from the information point at the main train station (Wrocław Główny) or from the information point at the Dialog Passage (Przejazd Dialogu)

Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office in Wroclaw. Formal matters

  • All those fleeing from Ukraine due to armed conflict do not have to register at reception points or worry about formalities;
  • they do not have to worry about the legality of their stay;
  • also do not need to submit any applications to the Office for Foreigners / provincial offices / border guard posts in the coming days. The same applies to Ukrainian citizens who are in Poland and their residence permits have expired.
  • Citizens of Ukraine residing in Poland do not have to leave the country when their residence permits expire. They also do not have to worry about the legality of their further stay.

Medical care for Ukrainians. Medication

  • All Ukrainian refugees have access to free medical care and Polish health services. To buy medicines, they should have a prescription from a doctor.
  • They can register at outpatient clinics and, in case of life-threatening emergencies, go to hospital emergency departments (SOR);
