With such a large audience being expected, the organisers and staff at the Wroclaw City Office recommend using public transport on 15 August. ‘We encourage fans to leave their cars at home on the day and take a tram or bus instead,’ stresses Przemysław Nowicki. ‘During an event of this scale, it is crucial to ensure that tens of thousands of people are smoothly transported to the stadium and then taken home. ‘Therefore, we are launching special routes and increasing the frequency of public transport services in the Tarczyński Arena area,’ says the Deputy President of MPK Wroclaw.
The stadium gates will open at 3:00 p.m., and the match will kick off at 4:45 p.m.
To the stadium by tram lines T1 and T2 or bus line S2
Two hours before the kick-off, special extra trams marked T1 will start to run from the Dworzec Główny stop to the Tarczyński Arena (Królewiecka) stop:
T1:
- directly to the stadium at intervals of around 10 minutes,
- between 2 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.,
- The route runs, among others, along Kołłątaja, Skargi and Kazimierza Wielkiego streets, Plac Jana Pawła II [John Paul II Square], and Długa, Popowicka and Pilczycka streets.
There will also be extra special T2 trams, which will depart from the city centre and stop close to the stadium:
- at intervals of approximately 7 minutes between the Galeria Dominikańska and Pilczyce stops,
- between 2 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.,
- the route runs along Lotnicza and Legnicka streets, Plac Jana Pawła II, and Ruska and Kazimierza Wielkiego streets.
In addition to the extra trams, there will be special S2 buses running between the Dworzec Główny (Dworcowa) stop and Tarczyński Arena (Lotnicza) stop:
- between 10 a.m. and 4:20 p.m.,
- every 20 minutes in the morning, and more frequently – every 10 minutes – for more than two hours before the match,
- The route runs, among others, along Dworcowa, Dąbrowskiego and Podwale streets, Plac Orląt Lwowskich [Lviv Eaglets Square], and Strzegomska, Rogowska, Żernicka, Bystrzycka and Lotnicza streets.
Return from the stadium by special transport
After the match, special trams and buses will depart from both sides of the stadium (from Królewiecka and Lotnicza streets) towards the city centre every few minutes, starting at around 6:35 p.m.:
- T1 from the Tarczyński Arena (Królewiecka) stop via city centre to the Dworzec Główny (MDK) stop,
- S1 from the Tarczyński Arena stop (Królewiecka, post 18502) via city centre to the Dworzec Główny (Dworcowa) stop,
- T2 from the Tarczyński Arena (Lotnicza) stop via city centre to the Galeria Dominikańska stop
- S2 from the Tarczyński Arena (Lotnicza) stop via city centre to the Dworzec Główny (Dworcowa) stop.
In addition, after the event, it will be possible to travel from the stadium to the airport by special buses marked S6. They will run from 6:40 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. every 20 minutes.
By regular public transport or by train
Supporters can also use regular trams and buses, such as:
- tram lines 3, 10 and 20 to the Tarczyński Arena (Lotnicza) stop,
- tram lines 18 and 21 to the Tarczyński Arena (Królewiecka) stop,
- bus lines 101 and 123 to the Królewiecka stop,
- bus line 152 to the Tarczyński Arena (Aleja Śląska) stop and, exceptionally before the match, to the Tarczyński Arena (Królewiecka) stop.
Please note that between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., tram lines 3, 10 and 20 will not stop close to the stadium as usual; instead, they will end their journey at the Pilczyce terminus, within a short walking distance to the stadium.
A quick way to get to Tarczyński Arena from the city centre is by train – for example, on the Koleje Dolnośląskie [Lower Silesian Railways] line from the Wroclaw Główny station to the Wroclaw Stadion station.
Where to park your car – Park & Ride
Those who decide to travel by car on the match day can leave their cars at one of the Park and Ride car parks, preferably one connected to the stadium by direct tram services:
- Leśnica P&R 14,
- Kosmonautów–Kamiennogórska P&R 20,
- Kosmonautów–Fieldorfa P&R 21,
- Kosmonautów–Boguszowska P&R 22,
- Oporów P&R 15.
Car parks near the Tarczyński Arena stadium
Participants who choose to drive right up to the stadium will have the following facilities at their disposal:
- outdoor car parks from 12 a.m. (price: PLN 70, payable by card or in cash on departure),
- on-site car parks from 2:45 p.m. (price: PLN 100, payable at parking meters by card or via app).
Attention! It is not possible to reserve a parking space, and payment at indoor car parks should be made after you have parked your vehicle.
Level 2 of the multi-storey car park is reserved for people with disabilities – charges apply in accordance with the price list.
