Kłodzko Fortress Days 2014
Thursday-Sunday, Kłodzko
Roaring of cannon and musket fire have since 10 years been a part of the largest battle taking place at the foot of Kłodzko fortress. Hundreds of historic reconstruction regiments' members will arrive there from all over Poland, and also Czech Republic and Germany to battle again for the Kłodzko fortification. Other attractions will also be available at the 9th Kłodzko Fortress Days.
The programme includes, among others, a home-made beers competition (Friday), fortress fair (Friday - Sunday), flea market (Saturday - Sunday), and a battle for the fortress (Saturday, 12.00). Event's programme day by day.

The Regional Memorial Chamber and the Leaning Tower is available for sightseeing: Nov 1st - Mar 31st, Tue - Sat 9:00 - 17:00, and Apr 1st - Oct 31st every day 09:00 - 19:00. Last entrance: half an hour before closing.

Harvest Festival in Czernica borough

As a part of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary day on August 15th, the Czernica borough will organize parish harvest feast in Nadolice Wielkie. Holy Mass is planned in the morning, and then a festival. Attractions include, among others, a regional products' fair. Games for kids will also be available.

Harvest Festival in Ogrodnica

This year's harvest festival of the Środa Śląska borough will take place in Ogrodnica on August 15th. Many guests from local agricultural centres and other institutions have been invited to participate. The programme includes a traditional bread mystery play, as well as a performance by Dolnoślązacy band from Ciechów, and an evening gala "25 years of Disco Polo in Poland".

August 15th - 17th Castle Książ will become a home for many mysteries, treasures, tales of old cursed crypts, as well as Egyptian mummies. There will also be historical reconstructions (about entering the Napoleon's army Expedition Corps to Egypt and the Allies' battles at the Western front during World War I), demonstration of military accessories, film screenings, and a real something for enthusiasts of arms: an opportunity to shoot various types of pistols and rifles. Weekend concert in Sobótka

Concert of Anita Lipnicka and John Porter. Support before the performance will feature local artists, Małgorzata Wilk, accompanied by Wojciech Magnucki. Regional products and handicraft fair

Handicraft and regional delicacies' fair, as well as eco-food stalls are just a few of the attractions of the "Regional products and handicraft fair", taking place in Ząbkowice Śląskie on August 16th. This will be yet another edition of the fair this year, the next are coming in September, October, November and December. The event starts at 10.00 and will last to 14.00.

3rd International Open-Air Artistic Workshop

On August 14-24 Trzebnica will host the 3rd International Open-Air Artistic Workshop. Presenting their works will be fourteen artists from Poland, Ukraine and Germany. Visitors will see among others: metal pictures, artistic fabrics, jewellery, graphics and painting. On Sunday, August 17th at 16.00, and on Thursday, August 21st at 19.00 the "Jadwiżańska Cafe" (at the Pilgrim's House) will host meetings with invited artists. Moreover, on Sunday, August 24th at 15.30, during the Parish Festival Bartłomiejki held will be a post-workshop vernissage, where the works will be not only available for viewing, but also for sale.
10th International Organ Music Festival

Since 2005, on summer Sunday evenings the Minor Bassillica in Oleśnica has been hosting organ music concerts as a part of the International Organ Music Festival. On August 17th the programme includes a concert by Józef Serafin.
